The Global Sourcing Manager is a supply chain leadership position that involves collaborating across multiple departments and Clients divisions in order to improve the supplier management practices of the organization. This role requires an ability to build positive relationships with key suppliers while leveraging these relationships to improve supplier quality, costs, service, and FDA compliance.
Responsible for all strategic and standard sourcing/procurement activities for assigned categories. Develop and implement a sourcing management strategy based on category management for these assigned categories. Identify, develop and manage supplier relationships.
Develop relationship management strategies by which suppliers are evaluated, selected and run in accordance with established guidelines and best practices (RFI/RFP, Scorecards, Performance Metrics, escalation/response processes, etc.
Develop and maintain Mill relationships and maintain libraries of approved fabric swatches for each, including but not solely inclusive of; construction, weights, costs, lead time, minimums, width, test results, finish, and special applications.
Collaborate to develop a comprehensive supply chain strategy for the client, including sourced categories, category strategies, savings commitments, service improvement ideas, and transition/implementation plan.
