As a member of the biomarker mass spectrometry laboratory, the ideal candidate will assist in coordinating new instrument installation, assess system suitability, perform instrument maintenance, and assist with assay transfer to external research organizations.
The position will involve close collaboration with an interdisciplinary team involved in the personalized cancer vaccine program, including colleagues from bioinformatics, protein & nucleic acid chemistry, clinical sciences, and biomarkers.
As a Principal Scientist you will become an expert on the theory and operation of the new Single Molecule Sequencing platform and help take the machine from an advanced proof of principle to a production ready laboratory instrument.
A successful candidate will work with interdisciplinary teams (including biomarker, clinical, biostatistics and bioinformatics scientists), will carry out data analysis and integration across various domains, and will develop novel methods for identifying diagnostic and prognostic biomarkers.
Help develop and guide research projects to maintain development timelines; perform all work using best laboratory practices and maintain a well organized and concise record of work performed and progress made.
Working through the full flow of very challenging data problems anywhere from data cleaning, to building a concept of the model to extracting the right features and testing the model to drive better decision making through various data and statistical modeling techniques, algorithm development involving real-world noisy data.
Discover, develop and demonstrate process chemistry at the laboratory and kilo-lab scale for timely delivery of early and mid-phase small molecule development candidates in accordance with cGMP, ICH and FDA/EMA regulations.
