The Clinical Nurse Specialist role in the Southern California Region is a clinical manager who partners with the operational manager to ensure that nursing staff delivers safe and effective care. The role is built around the five role sub-components as regulated by the California Board of Registered Nursing: Leadership, Consultation, Research, Education, and Clinical Practice.
In this role, the selected candidate will be accountable for staff functions which enhance the delivery of patient care in accordance with the standards of nursing practice through education, role modeling, standards development, quality improvement, program development and coordination.
Participates and consults in setting the direction for QA&I monitoring, establishing standards and evaluating outcomes. Collects and analyzes data regarding patient care outcomes, trends, morbidity and mortality.
This position is accountable for staff functions, which enhance the delivery of patient care in accordance with the standards of nursing practice through education, role modeling, standards development, quality improvement, program development and coordination, and other duties assigned.
In this role, you will be accountable for providing high quality care in a cost effective manner, which is consistent with the Mission and Philosophy; coordinate and guide clinical activities/projects of nurses.
The individual is responsible for providing leadership in establishing, evaluating and maintaining facility and dignity health clinical pharmacy activities.The role includes educating pharmacy staff and students affiliated within the facility.
Provides in-depth clinical expertise in a defined area of nursing practice (eg., pediatrics, oncology, adult medicine). Develops and ensures quality standards for nursing practice for a specific patient population. Provides advanced clinical practice education, consultation, research and administration.
In this role, you will track quality improvement activities, assesses trends and provides reporting to various departments and committees; analyze performance data to evaluate the efficiency and effectiveness of clinical processes.
In this role, the selected candidate will experience in management of projects and adult learners to include: Curriculum development, evaluation of personnel and interpretation and utilization of evidence based practice.
In this role, you will be responsible for oversees antimicrobial therapy for inpatient care at all campuses as needed and acts as a liaison between Pharmacy services and the Medical and Nursing services.
