In this role, the selected candidate must have the ability to read and interpret technical drawings and engineering schematics as well as an in depth understanding of associated electrical, pneumatic, mechanical and hydraulic systems and components.
The Field Application Engineer primary responsibility is to meet/exceed Regional Revenue and New Business Opportunity Wins plan in assigned territory and through teaming with channel partners at designated accounts.
The Field Service Engineer shall conduct customer site visits to troubleshoot problems, identify acceptable solutions, and perform diagnostic tests to ensure device calibration is within requisite levels.
This position requires daily travel to customer locations (we provide a company van stocked with parts) with about 50% overnight travels M-F (no weekends). We provide company credit card for all travel expenses.
In this role, you will be responsible for e-mail/phone/in person/on site assistance to end users and service shops in the installation, commissioning and use of the ABB Smart Sensor on electric motors.
