The Desktop Systems Engineer is responsible for the planning and implementation of the Microsoft Windows desktop platform. This includes managing the ongoing desktop life cycle of imaging systems, packaging and upgrading applications, patching systems, securing desktops and applications, and collaborating in the implementation of enterprise applications with Applications Engineers and other stakeholders.
In this role, you will be responsible for supporting z/OS mainframe systems software environment across multiple LPARs. Installing, maintaining, upgrading of all system software including third party software suites utilizing standard IBM SMP/E.
In this role, the selected candidate will provide ANL system administrators and Lustre developers with 'frontline' support of issues arising on any of the production Lustre file systems operating in both the classified and unclassified environments at Argonne.
This individual will be primarily responsible for testing, configuring, and setting standards and procedures, for Client's Enterprise Directory, Web Access Management System (ISAM), and Identity Management System (ISIM).
