In this role, the selected candidate will confer with Physician and other practitioners to obtain additional patient information, suggest revisions in treatment program, and integrate speech therapy treatment with other aspects of patient's health care.
In this role, you must demonstrate knowledge and skills necessary to provide patient care that is appropriate to the ages of the patients served in the following settings: acute inpatient care, skilled nursing care, outpatient care, schools, work rehabilitation, home health care, hospice, nursing home facilities, and other contractual agreements.
In this role, you will develop and implements individualized treatment programs for patients diagnosed as needing speech, language, or swallowing intervention by utilizing resources from other members of the health care team. Develops and maintains long-term and short-term treatment objectives for each patient.
In this role, the selected candidate will provide direct services to residents including evaluations, individual treatment planning, actual resident treatments and discharge planning. The Speech Pathologist focuses on improving speech, language, swallowing, and hearing disorders to overcome disabilities from a variety of causes.
