The Sr. Strategic Sourcing Manager is responsible for developing, implementing, and leading the sourcing and procurement of Indirect Materials and Services. This includes leading Sourcing teams, analysts, and other project teams to secure contractual agreements to meet business needs, lead supplier simplification, execution on activities to optimize productivity, quality & fulfillment through strategic supplier relationships.
Work independently with inside and outside counsel to negotiate and finalize corporate contracts; manage the performance of assigned corporate vendors, holding them accountable to chosen KPIs and service levels.
Provide a clear strategic direction and vision for direct reports which aligns with corporate objectives and manufacturing strategies. Mentor and Coach Manufacturing Plant specific Supply Chain professionals.
Responsible for understanding the many different businesses and business groups, their use of control panels, electrical components, electromechanical components, automation control, sensors & transducers.
Strong interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written), ability to present to a VP or SVP level audience on a regular basis, ability to facilitate cross-functional team discussions and lead team to reach consensus decisions.
Collaborate to develop a comprehensive supply chain strategy for the client, including sourced categories, category strategies, savings commitments, service improvement ideas, and transition or implementation plan.
Evaluating customer request reviewing interpreting code, policy, procedural and regulatory requirements to provide thorough design basis, supporting calculations, drawings and specifications as required.
Manage the supply base in terms of safety, quality, cost, delivery, technology, and environmental perspectives by supporting corporate citizenship initiatives and monitor, evaluate, and improve overall supplier performance through continuous improvement & lean principles.
