The Digital Electrical Engineer role involves full life-cycle product development from system concept and requirements through design, production, verification, and field support while working in integrated product teams spanning Engineering, Manufacturing, and Program Management.
Seeking experienced Mechanical Engineer capable of creating machine designs, layouts, drawings and documentation in a team environment for large CNC Machine Tools including multi-axis, vertical, horizontal and turning mills, lathes, drills etc.
Design, prototype, program, test, troubleshoot, diagnose, debug, and commission control hardware and software systems for cutting machine tools incorporated into custom designed work cells for customers in a variety of industries such as construction, mining, primary metals, wind energy, and aerospace.
In this role, you will work with other engineering disciplines and cross-functional disciplines to resolve product issues; evaluates customer needs and aligns requirements with identified customer expectations.
Develop, design, prototype, program, debug, and commission control systems for the following: linear and rotary motors, servomotors, actuators (electromagnetic, pneumatic, and hydraulic), sensors (optical and touch based), programmable controllers and IO interfaces including touchscreens.
Provide focus and rigor around high availability incidents, driving the incidents which are user impacting, high profile and / or multi - application through to resolution, while communicating the status to leadership.
Responsible for contributing in project teams, troubleshooting operational issues, providing technical solutions to operational problems, new product implementation, implementing existing products and services, and the overall upkeep and maintenance of designated areas of
RF/Analog subsystem and circuit card designs utilize the latest MMIC and discrete device technologies from all major vendors including internal Northrop Grumman designed devices, Electro-Optical (EO) circuitry, controls, detectors and data converters.
As a Mechanical Engineer, you will be responsible for creating basic designs under the direction of the Senior Engineer and/or Senior Designer. You will also develop specifications, system narratives, and system layouts for a variety of projects of different sizes.
In this role, you will develop control systems for Automated Production Robotics for customers in a wide variety of market segments such as pharmaceutical and medical device manufacturing, food and beverage manufacturing, big-box warehouse distribution, and automotive production.
