The Electrical Controls Engineer (Level I or II) Madison, WI area manufacturing facility will develop and integrate electrical control systems for machines and manufacturing processes, as well as large scale communication network architecture design.
In this role, you will design, prototype, program, test, troubleshoot, diagnose, debug, and commission control hardware and software systems for cutting machine tools incorporated into custom designed work cells for customers in a variety of industries such as construction, mining, primary metals, wind energy, and aerospace.
In this role, the selected candidate will design, test, integrate, program, and modify electrical controls and power distribution systems used in Automated Storage and Retrieval Mechanisms such as Linear and Circular Sorters, Garment Hanger Solutions, Load Racks, Pick and Place Robots, and Transport Vehicles and Conveyors.
In this role, you will develop and enables entire software team to develop automated scripts based on features of specific applications, their performance and scalability using a flexible framework extensible to the development team.
In this role, the selected candidate will develop drawings for control panels, power distribution, and junction boxesl; included in the drawings are the general arrangement, internal layout, schematics and interconnection and wire diagrams.
In this role, the selected candidate will be evaluating team member capabilities and assign appropriate responsibilities; reviewing and managing submission of all project deliverables ranging from designs, plans and progress reports.
The Controls Engineer shall design and debug electrical and software interfaces of Customized CNC Machinery and work with customer specifications to create electrical designs of industrial machine controls and safety circuits, while supporting technicians, and engineers across multiple departments.
