In this role, you will be responsible for planning, developing, and implementing and monitoring high quality occupational therapy care and services to residents consistent with regulations and established rehabilitation policies, procedures and best practices.
In this role, you will be responsible to provides occupational therapy evaluations and treatments to patients to facilitate and maximize functioning level as prescribed by physician. Adheres to wheaton franciscan healthcares performance expectations and performs all defined services and other related duties in accordance with the mission, vision and values of wheaton franciscan healthcare.
The Occupational Therapist evaluates and treats residents in accordance with orders of the physician through the use of therapeutic procedures and assistive devices intended to maximize functional potentials in all areas of a residents life.
Therapist will provide in-services and training on an ongoing basis in restorative and maintenance techniques for facility staff. Supervise assistants as required by Iowa licensure. Functions within the parameters of a LTC facility as set by the Administrator.
In this role, the successful candidate will produce effective communication and documentation of all patient treatment for team members and physicians, provides assessment and evaluation of effectiveness and progression of treatment.
