The Software Engineer III is responsible for supporting the application development functions of the company by designing, developing, and supporting innovative technical solutions. This position has no direct reports.
Assists in the creation of comprehensive unit test plans and creates and executes test cases in line with test plans. Participates in designing, coding, testing, debugging, documenting, maintaining, and modifying computer programs of moderate complexity, significance, and risk.

Discover design requirements from the system level down to each individual element collaborating with the design, production and/or engineering depts. to develop/execute technical strategies that help solve customer design challenges.
Assist in development and maintenance of a technical knowledge database that would include liquid experience database, mechanical seal database, technical white papers, and technical information as determined by customer needs.
Drive improvement efforts through a solid understanding and application of statistical tools and interpretation of results for effective solutions (i.e., Design of Experiments, process mapping, process capability analysis, Pugh matrix, FMEA, MSA, control plans, etc.).
Participate in six sigma and Value Stream projects as required with regards to application review process and technical service concerns.
Monitor customer needs, changing market conditions, product deficiencies and market opportunities to make recommendations for new products and process improvements.
Designs, codes, tests, debugs, documents, maintains, and modifies computer programs of moderate complexity, significance, and risk. Contributes and at times, leads clients and technical staff to investigate, analyze, and resolve technical problems related to system functions, programming, and procedures.
