The nurse leader position supports the nurse manager and unit staff as follows. In collaboration with unit/service nursing leadership, serves as a role model and resource for nursing personnel, and promotes collaboration with physicians, nurses, and other health disciplines in the management of the unit and needs of patients and families.
A challenging position for Psychiatric Registered Nurse, working with a team of mental health professionals to serve the SPMI population that has not done well in traditional mental health settings. Most of the services are done in the client's home.
Performs initial and ongoing assessment of the patient, utilizing appropriate data (i.e. physical, psychological, educational and risk-screen data appropriate for the chronological / developmental age of the patient).
This role includes care delivery during the pre, intra, and post moderate sedation/procedural periods. Must be able to demonstrate strong critical thinking, communication, collaboration and organizational skills.

Continuity of care for patient being treated with long term IV antibiotic therapies after hospital discharge, including dosage control, and consults for both, pre and post, organ transplant recipients.
The registered nurse has the ability to assess and triage telephone calls and patient requests, assist physician as directed, follow direct orders of physician, provide appropriate and concise documentation, administer injections and immunizations, and other procedures outlined below.
