The UR Medicine Geriatrics Group Office RN is primarily responsible for performing telephone triage for an office geriatrics practice serving patients residing in senior living and assisted living communities.
This position is responsible for direct nursing care. The RN is responsible for the delivery of patient care. This involves the assessment of patient and family needs, and the development, implementation and evaluation of an appropriate plan of nursing care.
In this nursing role, you take responsibility for the complete ongoing care of each patient to ensure their home dialysis treatment stays on track. You will work a Monday to Friday schedule-yet your impact on the lives of our patients and their families will be felt every day.
Manage and coordinates patient care in a manner which ensures the efficient and effective delivery of appropriate home care services and community support. RNs may be assigned as primary nurses with responsibility for all case coordination of patients requiring any other type of care upon approval.
Educates nursing, pharmacy and clerical staff about new protocols or amendment implementation and their roles in the implementation; assists investigators in the proper conduct of all research protocols being conducted by the department in accordance with departmental policy, institutional policy, sponsor/protocol requirements and FDA regulations.
