In this role, you will serve as diabetes care provider prepared to deliver comprehensive patient care to adult patients. Working in collaboration with the Attending Physician, provides comprehensive health assessments, develops plans of care, initiates interventions and utilizes prescriptive authority in the care of patients at the Joslin Center for Diabetes and Endocrinology.

The Physicians examine patients; take medical histories; prescribe medications; and order, perform, and interpret diagnostic tests. They often counsel patients on diet, hygiene, and preventive healthcare.

In this role, the selected candidate will be responsible for coordination of direct patient care, documentation of care delivered, adherence to hospital and nursing policies, procedures and practice standards,education of patients and staff, creation of Orthopedic Patient Protocols and pathways, Quality Assurance tracking and monitoring , assurance of service excellence , completion of state and hospital-required reviews of practice, and participation in performance improvement and other activities as required.

In this role, you will develop proficiencies in chemotherapy administration, will be working closely with the GI medical oncology team and involvement in clinical trial accrual.Excellent communication skills with proven ability in exercising independent judgment and initiative.
In this role, you will be responsible for providing on-site medical services in coordination with collaborating / supervising physicians and health care team members in assisted living and skilled nursing facilities.
In this role, the selected candidate will evaluate patients, orders appropriate laboratory testing and diagnostic studies, arranges for referrals, testing, consultation, and therapeutic services and maintains outstanding relationships with families, referring physicians and all members of the health care team.
