Create, operate, and sustain Cybersecurity functions based on industry best practices, risk management concepts, and OMB and NIST guidance for a federal department and provide, revise, and maintain a security strategic plan based on agency security policy, NIST SP 800.
Analyzes voice, video, radio-frequency, and/or data communications networks, including planning, designing, evaluating, selecting, and upgrading operating systems and protocol suites and configuring communication media with concentrators, bridges, and other devices.
Provides detailed guidance and consultation in solutioning production incidents when required.
Collaborates with vendors on infrastructure designs to ensure the final product is what was architected or designed.
Perform functions across a wide range of network facilities to include: physical media, protocol stacks, hubs, routers, bridges, gateways, digital servers, line drivers, telecommunications transport facilities, mainframe VTAM, NCP (related software/hardware) and network management components.
In this role, the selected candidate will be responsible for designing, testing, and implementing internal network solutions. Maintaining and providing Tier 3 support for the network infrastructure, including but not limited to switches, routers, firewalls, network appliances, and wireless APs.
