The Underwriting Assistant is responsible for proactively communicating with sales staff, advisors, and multiple insurance carriers in order to assist the process of determining what underwriting offers a prospect might receive.
As an Underwriting Consultant you be responsible for analyzing risk, determining appropriate plan designs, negotiating pricing levels and finding alternative solutions while balancing the divisions sales and retention goals.
In this role, the selected candidate will
be responsible for book management of agency plant, including achieving predetermined premium goals and profitability objectives, through agency audits, effective communication of company underwriting philosophy, and implementation of underwriting best practices.
The MAP Underwriter will be primarily responsible for underwriting and submitting assigned financing applications to the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) in accordance with its Multifamily Accelerated Processing (MAP) Guide, related HUD guidelines and Bank procedures and regulatory guidelines.
Performs proactively pulling of system reports and accurate analysis of large claims and risk assessment to produce sound financial responses/products in a timely manner. Provides superior service in support of reviewing large claim information and producing documentation for use in quoting and rating.
