In this role, the selected candidate will design, analyze, develop, and test all aspects of structural components including the structural analysis and design of components, and mockup drawing specifications.
In this role, the selected candidate must be able to safely conduct the physical aspects of the field work, including but not limited to ladder climbing, carrying tools, negotiating difficult terrain, working at heights and occassional over-night travel.
The successful candidate will have working knowledge of structural engineering building systems and be capable of assembling structural building components in a coherent, well-informed manner in concert with project structural engineers.
The Structural Engineer will act as the lead engineer on a project - identifying scope and establishing calculations to be submitted, all while under the direct supervision of a licensed engineer (if not licensed in that state), providing experienced technical solutions while mentoring Jr. Structural Engineers.
In this role, the selected candidate will provide support to the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) Operations Infrastructure Engineering Center for the Eastern Service Area (ESA) in design engineering, technical coordination, procurement, construction, installation, inspection, and acceptance of structural systems/services.
