Developing injection molding processes and tooling to lead new process development, existing process improvement, and equipment validation in an expanding manufacturer of intricate plastic and rubber components serving the medical device and aerospace industries.
The Process Engineer is responsible for identifying, leading, developing, and executing solutions for performance and quality improvements on manufacturing production systems (processing and/or packaging).
Develops and implements production/processing methods and controls to meet quality standards in the most efficient manner for new and existing assembly/molding processes. Monitors the assembly/molding process; troubleshooting problem processes and assisting in resolving quality issues.
Key responsibilities will include providing marketing input for product development, coordinating the delivery of services by departments within the company, and proactively managing customer accounts in concert with the sales team.
Work with product development team to lead tech transfer of new products to manufacturing for scale-up and production start-up, including identifying and generating appropriate processes and product/process specifications.
Provide primary interface to foundries to communicate MACOM product/technology requirements. Coordinate day-to-day, near term to long term technical projects between MACOM and foundries for timely closure.
Frequently interacts with functional peer groups. Interaction normally requires the ability to gain cooperation of others, conducting presentations of technical information concerning specific projects or schedules.
Process Engineer will develop, lead and implement projects which improve operational efficiency and deliver savings which support corporate objectives of on-time delivery, productivity, scrap reduction, etc.
This position will include working closely with Software Architects and Principal Systems, Hardware, and Software engineers to interpret requirements and correctly implement these requirements in software.
