The State and Local Tax Mergers and Acquisitions (M&A) practice provides tax consulting for acquisitions and other transaction related services to financial and strategic buyers (public and private acquisitions of US and foreign companies, stock offerings, spin-offs, leveraged buy-outs and joint venture arrangements) at the State and Local Levels.
Project manage components of the US federal income tax return, including participation in planning for and developing overall return calendar and coordination of timing and inputs with other tax team members.
This position is responsible for guiding the accounting for complex cross-border transactions, and analyzing a wide range of business transactions to understand and recommend the appropriate income tax accounting.
Identify opportunities and manage international planning initiatives (conduct research and technical analysis, obtain buy-in from applicable business functions, manage outside advisors, and implement initiatives).
In this role, you will develop a detailed engagement work plan, illustrating budgets and schedules; monitor project status against the work plan and communicate schedule adjustments to group management.
Support Management, Accounting, and other internal teams focusing on M&A, IT initiatives, reserve requirement, restructurings, and other projects by providing technical sales/use tax knowledge and advice as needed.
As a member of the Transfer Pricing Team, you will work on all aspects of intercompany pricing arrangements between related business entities, including transfers of intellectual property; transfers of tangible goods; services and loans and other financing transactions.
