In this role, the selected candidate will review and comment on project documents, inclusive of lease and construction attachments, architectural and mechanical surveys, and jurisdictional requirements.
This position is responsible for creating cost estimates, which requires defining material costs, labor costs, installation costs, and assistance in reviewing final with Sales and Operations. The estimates are related to the Building Automation (BAS) and/or Building Management Systems (BMS) required for Data Centers mechanical and electrical systems. Collaboration with other Schneider Electric entities will be required at times when the BMS is integrated with a Data Centers Power Monitoring and/or DCIM systems.

In this role, the selected candidate will be responsible for organizing and coordinating quality estimates in order to secure profitable mechanical construction projects to meet the company plan and objectives.
This position will focus on a wide range of construction projects including boutique, shopping center and department stores. This position requires experience in conceptual estimating, quantity take off, budget development, and the purchasing / negotiating of subcontracts.
The MEP Estimator is responsible for all aspects of mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection estimating including pre-construction, hard bids, negotiated bids, budgets, general conditions, systems studies and comparisons, value engineering, subcontractor relations and staying abreast of industry developments applicable to estimating.
In this role, the selected candidate will work with procurement to assure that necessary subcontractors and vendors are contacted; prepare a cost estimate in HCSS for materials, equipment, utilities, timeline, and required workers.
