The Network Engineers role is to ensure the stability, integrity, and efficient operation of the in-house information systems and networks that support core organizational functions. This is achieved by monitoring, maintaining, supporting, and optimizing all servers, software, hardware, systems, storage and associated operating systems.
Provides specific, detailed information for hardware and software selection, implementation techniques, and tools for the most efficient solution to meet business needs, including present and future capacity requirements. Conducts testing of network systems.
This is a hands-on position involving all the control system hardware and software as the sensors, actuators, motors, machine vision, programmable controllers, and control panels form one integrated system for each project. Company develops and builds custom machine automation systems for manufacturers from concept through installation.
This position requires a working knowledge of Data Network Devices including but not limited to DSLAMs, ATM switches and routers. A working knowledge of IP networking, ATM networking and MPLS networking is also required. Also required is knowledge of communications protocols like TL1, SNMP, HTTP, XML and SOAP.
