The CLIA Medical Director will serve as a Regulatory Consultant to the clinical laboratory operations. The majority of work can be done from a remote loaction, however he or she is usually required to be on site once every three months during CLIA and CMS Surveys.
In this role, the selected candidate will assist the VP of Clinical Programs to direct and coordinate the physician component of the utilization management functions for the Medicare Organization Determination team that supports health plan business units.
This role is also responsible for developing an annual territory business plan across segments, identifying a specific action plan to achieve annual assigned targets/goals and quota, MBOs, individal development plan (IDP), management of campaigns in SF.com and detailed Steps to Close activities.
In this role, the selected candidate will provide medical leadership for Medicare utilization management activities, Organizational Determinations, and medical review activities pertaining to utilization review, quality assurance, medical review of complex, and controversial or experimental medical services such as transplants utilizing the services of consultants.
In this role, the selected candidate will be responsible for providing on- site immediate medical care, treatment of occupational injuries and illnesses, injury and illness prevention, fitness for duty evaluations, performing OSHA required exams in addition to other regulated exams and tests in the steel manufacturing setting, as well as short and long term disability management.
In this role, you will provide administrative leadership for the programs and services offered by the plant medical department while working with human resources, labor relations, employee relations, staff managers, and health services at the corporate level on administrative issues at the facility.
In this role, you will participate in the creation of opportunities to consult, interact and elicit feedback with the physician community, then act upon this valuable information, raising proactive clinical intervention to unprecedented levels.
In this role, you will provides required documentation of services to the regional or corporate medical director or designee in order to monitor services provided and compliance with facility / client contract.
The candidate will assist the VP of Clinical Programs to direct and coordinate the physician component of the utilization management functions for the Medicare Organization Determination team that supports health plan business units.
In this role, you will lead the order management and post sales group assuring that all compliance standards are met in accordance with state and federal laws and regulations, and internal policies and procedures.
