In this role, you will be responsible for maintaining and complying with accounting policies and procedures that ensure the highest level of efficiency. The selected candidate will participate in the billing department as well as the month-end close process.
In this role, you will support new business pursuit estimating, accomplish preliminary estimates for proposal planning and development. Conduct annual risk assessment activities for government accounting and estimating compliance.
Support and advise Product Management, Marketing and Special Costing departments in order to understand and operationally execute partner and internal objectives in order to maximize the profitability of partner funding programs and the accuracy of internal financial projections.
The Senior Accountant is responsible for closing the books, preparing analysis related to the General Ledger, reconciling balance sheet accounts and completing other ad-hoc requests or projects and reviewing the work of others.
Calculate and prepare monthly revenue entries/files to recognize revenue in accordance with GAAP for assigned general ledger accounts including accounts receivable, revenue, deferred revenue, and refunds.
In this role, the selected candidate must have strong understanding of database design, structure, functions and processes and experience with database tools; typically obtained through five years of progressively responsible experience.
In this role, the selected candidate will assist in preparation of monthly financial reports which may include but are not limited to: Income Statements, Cash Flow, ROA, and the Divisional Financial Package utilizing Microsoft Excel and the above mentioned reporting tools.
The Senior Accountant is responsible for the monthly financial statement close process, performing general ledger analysis, variance analysis and financial statement preparation. This position participates in all phases of several external audits. The Senior Accountant reports to the Senior Director of Accounting Services.
