The position is effectively managing procurement for assigned suppliers through the use of USIs replenishment system and available reporting. This role is accountable for attaining or exceeding service level and turn rate objectives as assigned for a specific buying section and specified suppliers.
Manage the dedicated contract truckload carrier relationships with several dedicated fleet operators exercising dotted line reporting relationship with carrier on site fleet manager(s) related to all aspects of day-to-day dedicated fleet executional requirements.

Work with suppliers on their value creation processes and challenge them to reduce costs (and prices) by taking out wasted steps along their value streams while improving quality and responsiveness. Point out the root causes of waste in supplier operations and work out plans for essential improvements.
Responsible and accountable for logistics and distribution resources/structures, processes/practices/tools and key performance indicators that enable outstanding service to geographic area of responsibility. Monitors the quality, quantity, cost and efficiency of the movement and storage of goods.
In this role, you will collaborate with Operations and Sales to define client requirements and solution alternatives; provide analytical support for development of operational pricing and transportation solutions.
