This position will be expected to facilitate and lead lean six sigma projects on a variety of transactional and operational processes as well as coach, mentor and provide guidance to respective trainees undergoing Green Belt or Black Belt certification.
Responsible for the electrical engineering design activities associated with typical electrical distribution, communications, fire alarm and control systems found in aviation, federal, and commercial sites.
Provides technical leadership and individual contributions to mechanical and electro-mechanical engineering design and development efforts on multi-disciplinary project teams to create reliable, robust, high performance medical instrumentation. Participates in project planning and insures that schedule milestones are met. Applies technical insight and judgment for technology assessment and problem solving. Serves as a subject matter expert on medical consumables development and mid to high volume molded part design.
Collaborate with Project Test and Software Leads to understand product specifications and test requirements across the business portfolio/platforms. Make proposals that include resource and schedule estimations, tools, risks and benefits to build Test Automation solutions.
Direct and manage the workflow and product of engineers within the scope of assigned projects.Work on cross-functional design teams to develop new products, address design issues, and maintain existing designs.
The successful candidate is responsible for technology integration of projects and systems that have both life science/chemistry and instrumentation/engineering components. These individuals are members of a team that ensures adequate system level performance for instrumented diagnostic systems through close collaboration with assay development, hardware design, software, and other functional groups.
Performs work which involves conventional engineering practices, but may involve a variety of complex features. Requires general knowledge of precedents in specialty areas and familiarity with basic principles and practices in related specialties
