In this role, you will manage the functionality and efficiency of a group of computers running on one or more operating systems. Perform daily Windows system administration to: Monitor system utilization; diagnose / troubleshoot hardware, software and network problems; schedule / implement hardware / firmware / software upgrades; perform backups and ensure disaster recovery capability; review system logs; and coordinate actions.
In this position, you will manage and support of all aspects of the Active Directory (AD) environment ensuring the security, integrity, and availability of authentication, authorization and LDAP related services to the enterprises internal as well external customers.
In this role, the selected candidate will participate in the definition and implementation of system components, following best practices, including new servers, hardware, software and upgrades; create and manage system documentation, including configurations and backup procedures.
In this position, you will provide technical support to the organization's internal users of computer applications and hardware (e.g., PCs, servers, mainframes). Answers questions regarding system procedures, online transactions, systems status and downtime procedures, and is typically located within a call center. Collaborates with network services, software systems engineering and/or application development in order to restore service and/or identify problems.
The selected candidate will provide desktop, server, and network administration support to mission and analytic networks. Your primary responsibilities will include desktop support, application support, server administration, user account support, and basic support to LAN infrastructure.
The Systems Administrator supports, with supervision, primarily in the areas of trading applications in customer facing environments. The incumbent must have knowledge of application deployment/configuration and be comfortable with Linux/Solaris platforms.
