In this role, the selected candidate will underwrite new and renewal submissions, analyze financial and risk data to identify exposures and hazards; select, modify, price, negotiate, or decline submissions based on company underwriting guidelines and company philosophy.
In this role, you will identify risk exposures, special or common hazards, and appropriate controls. Ability to select risk based on exposure and risk analysis. Ability to analyze claims and quantify losses.
In this role, the selected candidate must have understanding of financial statements and ratios used in risk analysis; understanding of insurance financial fundamentals; impact of underwriting decisions on company assets.
In this role, the successful candidate will develop and manage underwriting strategies for both renewals and prospects within his/her portfolio of accounts, including knowledge of the current penetration by product, cross marketing penetration by product and specific plans to increase company share.
In this role, the selected candidate will work on new business opportunities with key brokerage houses in the NY Metro Region, design and propose appropriate program structures and pricing for said opportunities.
In this role, the successful candidate will develop strong, long term relationships with brokers and clients to profitably grow a book of business; provide superior customer service to brokers and clients.
