This position will work in a metal manufacturing environment. This position needs candidates who are familiar with manufacturing methods including heat treating, welding, composites, NDT and inspection methods.
The Senior Design Quality Engineer will be supporting the Sustaining Design Quality Group for the Trauma/CMF business, the qualified candidate for this hands-on position should excel in an environment that embraces teamwork, change, risk-based decision making and flexibility.
Candidate will work directly with development team and business partners to compile overall test plans and detailed test case scenarios based on business requirements and technical application specifications.
The Senior Quality Engineer will work as a member of a cross-functional project team engaged in ongoing Product Life Cycle technical and engineering support. The individual will serve as a quality representative on project core teams and will work closely with R&D, Manufacturing, and Quality Systems engineers.
The position will include routine interaction and communication with internal business stakeholders (Quality, Compliance, Supply Chain, R&D, Regulatory and Commercial) and external business partners (External Manufacturing groups).
In this role, you will be responsible for Interface with manufacturing and design engineering when support is required to conduct root cause corrective action analysis for problem solving and process improvement.
In this position, you will continually develop the quality system through GAP analysis results and change control activities. Will lead and facilitate training to further support product and process improvement. Uses various statistical and non-statistical problem-solving tools as part of analysis.
In this role, the selected candidate will lead the cascade of critical to quality design features to product quality plans and downstream manufacturing & quality processes. He/she will support transfer to manufacturing activities both in product development and base businesses.
