In this role, you will evaluate assigned patients and plans, implements and documents nursing care. Assists physicians during examinations and procedures. Performs various patient tests and administers medications within the scope of practice of the registered nurse. Promotes patients' independence by establishing patient care goals and teaching patients and families to understand conditions, medications, and self-care skills.
In this role, the selected candidate will provide day to day guidance, support and direction to direct patient care staff, providing informal feedback on an ongoing basis and formal feedback input for the annual performance evaluation.

In this role, the selected candidate will be responsible for participating in Interdisciplinary Quality Improvement Committees; working closely with other clinical data abstractors; helping educate staff to registry reporting requirements.
The Clinical Nurse II provides direct care to patients who may range in age from infancy to the elderly and demonstrates competency within the domains of clinical judgment and decision-making, nurse-patient/family relationship, clinical leadership, and clinical scholarship.
