Compound and dispenses prescribed drugs in a healthcare facility environment. Also responsible for transferring prescriptions, handling incoming physician calls, logging data into the computer, and Drug Utilization Review.
This pharmacist is responsible for overseeing the Christiana Care 340B program and maintaining the policies and procedures necessary to comply with an audit from the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA), the federal agency responsible for oversite over 340B administration.
Prioritize Pharmacy Department tasks and follow through to ensure all tasks are completed in a timely manner. Including, but not limited, to cycle counts, inventory management and will-calls to customers.
Provides patient consultation by reviewing patient profiles and medication orders. Evaluates patients ability to understand medication instructions, and provides oral and written counseling on their drug therapy.
The Epic Pharmacy Analyst will be a member of the Epic PennChart Information Services Team with the responsibility to oversee and participate in the building and maintenance of the pharmacy information system (Epic Willow) with an emphasis on patient care impact, clinical outcomes and quality improvement.
