The Pediatric Nurse Supervisor (RN) will be responsible for overseeing the Pediatric Department (2 full-time Pediatrician and 3 Nurses) and assisting with providing high quality care to patients, as needed.
Responsible for providing direct field nurse supervision, orientation, training and mentoring, conducting supervised visits, functioning as a field nurse and clinical liaison when necessary, and providing clinical sales support to the sales and account executives by accompanying them on sales calls and providing company approved and sponsored Continuing Education (CE) presentations. Be responsible for overseeing the over-night admissions and insuring appropriate clinical practice activities of the nursing staff are being delivered to patients within the established standards of care.
Participate and maintain active involvement in customer service initiatives, campus- wide committee(s), task force(s), providing active input to the interdisciplinary team, nursing department and leadership.
Handling quality assurance activities which ensure compliance with internal and regulatory standards related to coordination of resident healthcare services, resident education and access to medication.
The RN - Nurse Supervisor is responsible for supervising nursing personnel to deliver nursing care and within scope of practice coordinates care delivery, which will ensure that patient's needs are met in accordance with professional standards of practice through physician orders, center policies and procedures, and federal, state and local guidelines.
Ensures timely and accurate communication and documentation is submitted to the appropriate payer source for continued authorization. Promotion of patient, family and/or significant other in the return to optimal physical and mental health through support and education.
The Nursing Supervisor is responsible to take direction from the Executive Director and provide for all nursing and healthcare vision and direction to staff while providing general oversight for all healthcare operations consistent with licensing requirements, legal best practices, ethical best practices and business regulations.
