The Engineer will handle maintenance and preventive maintenance of mechanical rooms including; operation and maintenance of high pressure boilers and auxiliary equipment, de-aerators, feed-water pumps, forced draft fans, steam lines and traps, water softeners, air compressors, and other job related equipment.
As a Mechanical Conveying Engineer, the selected candidate is responsible for the selection, sizing, and design of mechanical conveying equipment. Design work will be performed in accordance to contract specification requirements for new equipment projects.
Supports General Plant Safety, Food Safety, Food Defense initiatives and Good Manufacturing Practices with an understanding that these are absolutes and are Priority #1. Ensuring that General safety and Food Safety are absolute priorities by setting an example to others.
Provides technical leadership and individual contributions to mechanical and electro-mechanical engineering design and development efforts on multi-disciplinary project teams to create reliable, robust, high performance medical instrumentation. Participates in project planning and insures that schedule milestones are met. Applies technical insight and judgment for technology assessment and problem solving. Serves as a subject matter expert on medical consumables development and mid to high volume molded part design.
The Plant Engineer will develop and implement production processes, methods and controls to meet design and quality standards in the most cost effective manner and drive continuous improvements within core process areas of our manufacturing operations.
Lead the effort to plan and build our network using our geographic information system (GIS) platform; map the NYC metro fiber data - deciding which neighborhood in in line to receive the companys gigabit fiber infrastructure.
