You are a developer with experience with big data or real time data, understanding of modern data pipeline architectures, currently available tools, and operational experiences building or running data collection, processing, warehousing and reporting systems.
Responsible for performing complex analysis and modeling. Utilizes a variety of systems including, but not limited to Excel, Access, Visual Basic, SAS, and InfoQuest at an intermediary level. Provides analytical support on various strategies to ensure company goals are met.
Act as a technical lead or as a consultant on complex projects with a broad scope of impact for the organization; develop and approve technical design that assist with the adoption of new technologies.
Design, develop, test and debug highly complex SSIS packages and makes significant enhancements to existing packages and monitor and optimize database objects and SQL Server databases using industry-standard tools and practices (SQL, Profiler, Analyzer, Query Plans).
Must have a strong build and production operations experience (EMS / OMS interfaces, Manage order, trade confirmation flow with exchanges, Systems running, position and price updates, Trade alerts, Reconciliation with Aladdin, Charles River and Connectivity).
The Data Protection Engineer will be responsible for data security pertaining to, but not limited to, identifying potential security vulnerabilities, determining what controls are necessary in order to protect the data, determining the effectiveness of the controls already or designed to be put in place.
