The Quality Engineer Outage Services will support the Quality System needs of the Outage Services Division and provide a resource for developing and implementing good Quality practices while supporting the Divisions overall business objectives.
Investigate component cost and weight reduction, and conduct feasibility for packaging electrical components and brackets throughout the vehicle as well as managing development projects, negotiating development & purchasing strategies, and coordinating with other departments, suppliers, and manufacturing.
In this role, you will be responsible for writing hardware and software specifications, performing confirmation testing on the actual car and simulator, troubleshooting and fixing related problems, writing and presenting reports, working with component suppliers and other departments to resolve technical issues, researching new technologies and market trends, and making proposals for future products.
Develop control system solutions for hydraulic drive systems including: design drawings, control sequence of operation descriptions and equipment operating procedures, bills of materials, and be the primary electrical/electronic controls contact person in support of technical assistance in the installation, operation, and maintenance of the equipment.
Perform electrical design, specifically in power electronics applications. Candidate will work with an electrical designer to perform schematic capture, layout and manufacturing output files. Testing/analysis support, including EMI/EMC, worst case and timing analyses, derating analysis will be included.
In this role, the selected candidate will be responsible for the creation of design concepts, 3D layouts and 2D drawings, engineering calculations and simulations, verification of performance and manufacturability, and management of cost and weight.
overseeing the testing of the related vehicle systems, negotiating the hardware and software interfaces to integrate the systems into the vehicle as well as instrumenting and troubleshooting vehicles for testing, analyzing test date, and recommending solutions for failed tests.
In this role, you will develop, write and issue specifications for these parts/systems and create and manage the part development schedule with consideration to all parties (supplier, designers, overall vehicle development, etc.).
