In this role, the selected candidate will Maintain open and direct communication with third party manufacturing plants to ensure complete understanding of their needs, requirements and production schedules.
Align with the Procurement Operations Manager to provide procurement operations for the building, including: forecasting of non-inventory products, inventory management, non-inventory flow and space models, cycle counts, supplier management, procurement transaction and expediting support.
The ideal candidate will be an integral part of Supply Chain Management with our production programs; being a core performer in Supply Chain will require interface with program leadership, engineering, production control, customers and of course the supply base.
Develop short term supply mitigation solutions in response to sudden demand changes, unplanned manufacturing shut-downs, or product quality issues. Communicate and coordinate tradeoffs and insure understanding, alignment, and adherence to the plans
Support new product launches by project managing completion of supply chain and cross - functional activities that must occur to ensure movement on new initial builds of inventory for launch and sustaining availability.
Successful candidate will be: ensuring that the appropriate drawing requirements are available so that the supplier can execute on quality, on time and at cost, working with the supplier to develop root cause analysis and countermeasures for failures.
As a Buyer in our Procurement department, you will be responsible for the procurement of goods and services through the First American procurement application, ensuring order accuracy, supporting the business throughout the purchasing process and resolving issues related to Purchase Order-backed invoices.
