The candidate must have a proven record of innovation for both posing and solving complex sensor signal processing, detection, estimation, and tracking related problems. Signal processing methods, techniques, and algorithms are typically evaluated through simulation and analysis of synthetic or real data.
Review injection molding design of experiments, viscosity study, gate freeze study, CPK, and inspection data, discuss out of spec dimensions with the engineers and tool makers, so that corrective action can be implemented.
The Polymer Process Engineer for Plastic Engineering will support production on the manufacturing floor, in the laboratory and support maintenance to develop, implement and achieve operations critical success factors.
Represent Manufacturing Engineering Department and participate in Design Reviews, Concurrent Engineering, Design for Cost and Design for Manufacturability programs in conjunction with the Design Engineering staff.
Reviews all changes in engineering design, planning, tooling, and N/C programming to determine impact on current processes, methods and work instructions. Follows through with updating standard data and standard work instructions per such changes.
Support production, laboratory and maintenance to develop, implement and achieve operations critical success factors; contribute and support all areas in regards to equipment and process upgrades, and new installations in an effort to manufacture optimal quality films and compounds.
This person will be working closely with R&D to design and implement scalable processes for new product introduction. This person must be comfortable managing their own projects from start to completion.
