The Systems Administrator is responsible for installing, maintaining and supporting the enterprise infrastructure and the end user systems. The Systems Administrator is a first responder with regards to support for servers, network infrastructure, and receives escalated tickets in regards to desktops, printers, cameras, handheld computing systems and phones.
In this role, the selected candidate will configure and manage server Windows operating systems and install/load operating system software, troubleshoot, maintain integrity and configure network components along with implementing operating systems enhancements to improve reliability and performance.
The selected candidates will be responsible for basic system administration of physical and virtual server and network infrastructures. The personnel will also gain exposure to a wide variety of database, storage area network, mobile, and cloud infrastructures, mentoring under senior administrators.
As the Systems Operations Manager, youll be responsible for a team of Systems Administrators and Engineers tasked with ensuring that the capacity and support for all global infrastructure related to VDMS CDN, FIOS-IPTV and Broadcasting services are always ready to take on new customer traffic as well as maintain continuous up-time for content delivery.
In this role, the selected candidate will provide Tier 2 (Escalation) problem identification, diagnosis and resolution of problems; assist as needed with Tier 1 (Help Desk) and provide mentoring and leadership for Tier 1 staff.
In this role, the selected candidate must have an experience in the installation, configuration, and maintenance of both public licensed and Commercial-off-the-Shelf software tools; excellent user interface / interpersonal / written and verbal communication skills.
