In this role, the selected candidate will work with marketing and sales operations to take advantage of lead development efforts (outbound lead development reps, inbound lead generation, trade show leads and partnership leads.)
The Regional Account Executive manages customer relationships and sales processes for middle market accounts. He/She is responsible for new account conversions while managing an existing account base, where sales penetration and customer retention are equally important.
The position will focus on effectively managing and expanding existing client relationships, revenue, and profit goals within his/her designated region and identifying new opportunities within molecular testing laboratories.
The Regional Account Executive will be responsible for an assigned corporate market where they will grow revenue and enhance PODS' competitive position through development and implementation of sales initiatives and local sales programs.
Tasks include, but are not limited to, preparing for the demonstration, gathering application ideas from others, setting up and running the machine during demonstration in a professional manner, tear down of the machine, reporting and shipping the samples, and cleaning the machine.
Establish and build relationships with key personnel at multiple levels in the buying process in order to attain territory sales goals. Build strong channel partner relationships within existing accounts and have the ability to evaluate, appoint and train new channel partners to meet regional business sales objectives.
Develop and execute long-term consultative sales strategies to maintain current clients and generate new business opportunities; collaborate with internal colleagues to deliver executive level presentations to build net new clients.
