The Advanced Practice Provider (CRNP/PA-C) will become an autonomous member of a multi-disciplinary Heart Team and will be responsible for initial and ongoing cardiovascular assessments serving a population with complex valvular heart disease.
In this role, you will include assisting in the operating room with the Vascular Fellows and Surgeons along and providing inpatient care, in the ICU and on the medical surgical floor, for patients who are undergoing or who have undergone vascular surgery.
In this role, the selected candidate will perform diagnostic and therapeutic tasks leading to a team-based, physician-directed therapeutic plan of care; provide continuity of care and advocacy for patients.
In this role, the selected candidate will be responsible for managing patients requiring mechanical support; working closely with physician providers at many levels we are an integral piece of a multidisciplinary team.
In this role, the selected candidate will provide support and clinical expertise to nursing personnel regarding complex patient care issues; participate in collaborative appraisal of his/her own practice with PA peers including mandatory compliance with peer review requirements.
This role enhances clinical best practice through a team model where advanced practice providers (APP) collaborate with Neurosurgeons, Neurocritical Care physicians and multidisciplinary consult services.
The Staff APP is responsible to set the standards for the level and quality of care. The Staff APP has responsibility, authority and accountability for the provision of care through supervision by and collaboration with a physician.
In this role, you will provide quality care across the continuum in collaboration with the physicians and fellows and be expected to manage patient care autonomously within the scope of their professional practice.
In this role, the selected candidate will enter and/or retrieves data from established computer files using knowledge of various computer software applications (e.g., SIIS, Promise , Flowcast, MPV, Cerner Message Center, patient portal, eCare, touchworks scan, LMS, outlook).
The successful Physician Assistant candidate will work under the responsibility and supervision of the physician and require completion of an ARC-PA (or predecessor organization) approved physician assistant program, current NCCPA certification or eligibility and Pennsylvania State licensure.
The scope of responsibilities include, but not limited to daily rounds with the surgical team, patient assessments, pre and post operative patient care, diagnostic interpretations, admissions, and discharges. The identified supervising physicians will evaluate the NP/PAs Clinical Skills and Competence as part of their annual performance review.
In this role, the selected candidate will perform and/or participate in rounds of hospitalized patients, including physical assessment, interpretation of diagnostic studies, interaction with nursing staff and documentation in medical record if applicable.
