The incumbent will be a member of the Funded Initiatives Team (FIT) and as such will be expected to act as Principal Investigator for one or more internally and/or externally funded projects as needed.
The successful candidate will be on the team that specifically supports the Extrusion market. A successful candidate having the proper credentials of technical and supervisory experience may also be given responsibility to provide technical leadership for the team.
he Development Chemist I-III in the Primary Metals Cleaning & Corrosion lab shall execute development assignments, determinations and tests under the supervision of the manager/group leader or in assistance to a senior level Chemist.
Performs specialized and advanced analyses, testing, and formulation of new products and requirements; responsibilities may include developing new or updated formulas, performing moderate or sub-sets of large projects, and determining quality standards.
The Research Chemist should have superior organizational, communication and critical thinking skills in order to quickly discern the proper path(s) for analyzing products and materials to provide answers to customers at all levels of the business.
