The Harris Corporation Data Comm Integration Services Program is currently seeking a talented Engineer (Electrical, Systems, or Computer Science) that can be given a goal and, with little direction or indication of how to achieve the goal, has the ability and will take the responsibility to figure out a viable solution.
The ideal candidate will have superior software development skills and the ability to communicate effectively across a broad range of audiences, including internal leadership and external (customer) stakeholders as required.
In this role, you will develop C# .NET applications using Visual Studio 2015. Use SVN, JIRA, and Remedy for source control and issue tracking. Evaluate and recommend web architecture and process improvements. Troubleshoot, upgrade, and rewrite web applications developed in-house and by external developers. Provide operation and maintenance support of enterprise-wide web applications.
The preferred candidate will be primarily responsible for providing technical leadership and integration across program office, Systems Integrated Product Team (SIPT) and customer base to drive the execution of Class 1 and Class 2 Engineering changes.
Install, configure, maintain and upgrade Ellucian software and any required technologies in support of the applications; work with Architecture team on improving and evolving implementation and migration standards, automation, and scripting.
In this role, you will performs evaluations of existing and proposed Facilities building, hardscaping and utility infrastructure with a focus on improving reliability and reducing operation and maintenance expenses. Recommends modifications to building components, hardscaping materials and utility infrastructure.
Comply with all applicable codes, regulations, governmental agency and Company directives related to building operations and work safety; lead shift operations, assigns work orders, and/or provides technical and procedural training of coworkers and subcontractors.
