The Safety Manager (EHS Manager) ensures safety compliance throughout the manufacturing plant. The Safety Manager, considered an integral partner with the human resources department, will inspire a safe employee environment, and be a change agent in employee practices.
Direct and work with District personnel to implement OSHA requirements throughout the District; motivate District employees through the development and administration of safety recognition programs and behavior-based safety programs.
Analyze equipment for hardware and software deficiencies, make recommendations for hardware and software deficiency corrections, and develop, integrate, and test hardware and software deficiency solutions.
Responsible In a specific region for deployment and management of all Food Safety, Quality and Regulatory (FSQR) systems across the business to ensure alignment with strategic and tactical plans as developed and implemented by the Cargill Animal Nutrition (CAN) enterprise.
Develop and conduct training programs, procedures for supervisors and employees in exposure identification, reporting and data analysis processes, how to perform monthly housekeeping and inspections of the facilities and equipment identifying any potential hazards, and the proper means for reporting them. Provide guidance to Management and implement training programs in conjunction with the learning and development platform and perform monthly facility audits to continue compliance.
Manage site infrastructure and operations support equipment including buildings/grounds, fire protection, lighting, power distribution, process cooling, compressed air, cranes, dock equipment, racking, forklifts and AGVs.
