Duties will range from overseeing mechanical aspects of projects, client interaction, dept. budgets, scheduling work, checking calculations, training designers and engineers, provide solutions, able to handle projects from start through completion, experience in energy modeling / simulation for LEED, HVAC equipment selection & system design, energy code compliance reporting.
The Materials Engineer will provide technical support of materials for the company"s plant while researching and developing current and next generation products, with a focus on materials and composite technology.
Identify process and equipment improvement opportunities; develop project concepts, scope and budgets; present potential projects to management; manage projects from concept through completion including: all design work; sourcing and selection of components and contractors.
Support and troubleshoot issues with control systems including PLC programming, interface systems, and PC controlled systems. Revise equpment programs as necessary to support manufacturing process improvements.
Execute packaging technology strategies in the plants, including growth initiatives, quality improvements, productivity/cost-reduction activities, troubleshooting activities and general packaging support as needed.
Provide engineering support to the manufacturing department for day to day operations. Maintain the manufacturing engineering drawing files. Design and obtain any needed fixtures to allow the successful implementation of our product into the industrial automation market. Assist in aligning manufacturing processes across all ASCO and Numatics sites.
designs and develops project specifications and drawings for HVAC/Mechanical systems and distribution equipment; assesses feasibility, determines alternatives, and selects most effective approach of proposed installations or modifications to equipment; participates in resolution of technical issues relating to HVAC/R, control, operational sequencing and control interfaces of equipment.
