As a Mechanical Engineer you will be responsible for providing trade specific system design: layout (utilizing CAD/BIM); calculations (utilizing appropriate software); and other related design services including coordination with the designs of other trades (architectural and engineering / internal and external) under the guidance of more senior technical staff.

In this role, the selected candidate will develop mechanical testing for aluminum joining methods, including testing for peel, fatigue, bend and tensile strength; support Product Development Teams in the development of new products and technologies.
In this role, you will create basic designs under the direction of the senior engineer and/or senior designer, perform CAD/BIM-drafting for a variety of projects and project sizes to begin to understand architectural engineering design and documentation.
In this role, you will lead and/or support process and performance improvement efforts in the areas of Shipyard Business Operations, Project Management, Material Support, Resource and Capacity Planning, Workforce Development & Training, Availability Maintenance & Overhaul, Metrics and Measures, and Business Analytics.
