Investigates and solves technical problems that involve equipment and processes that affect product quality and equipment reliability. Works with appropriate parties to investigate all adverse equipment and facility related events. Ensures robust corrective actions are in place to prevent recurrence of problems.
Works closely with other Thermal and Fluidics Engineers as well as with Mechatronic, Systems, Electrical, Controls, Structural, and Software Applications, Reliability and Test Engineers on full integration of Fluidics/Thermal Engineering into product development.
Manage a multi project workload as well as oversee the design work of other engineers. The successful candidate will be accountable for project coordination and quality, as well as budget adherence, and overall team communication.
Evaluate and support key products in terms of regulatory compliance and remediation activities; ensure appropriate design control strategy and document control processes are followed in completion of designated project activities.
Provide Mfg. Engineering Technical support within Blades Mill/Drill and Titanium line, ensuring processes are completed according to blueprint requirements and delivered to the customer in a timely manner. Create and maintain work instructions, tooling orders, and provide rework/repair work instruction to shop floor personnel as necessary.
Support new product development and sustaining activities by providing leadership, analysis, technical support and recommendation of effective solutions to operational issues to improve cost, security of product and raw material supply, revenue and asset utilization.
In this role, the selected candidate will design maintainable, elegant, and lasting solutions to meet a wide variety or requirements and feature sets while working closely with a team of highly skilled engineering professionals to develop world class products for the end user.
The Sr. Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for the advanced mechanical design and high-level innovation associated with new automatic door products using an established product development process (PDP).
Must have experience managing or being highly engaged with dynamic product; hands-on experience with core lighting product development; years of experience as a mechanical engineering team leader with direct reports.
