The Project Manager is responsible for directing and mentoring staff; the position requires business management acumen and must demonstrate strong leadership, organizational and time management skills, as well as have strong communication and team building skills
The Program Manager will also assist the VP with operational responsibilities such as consolidation of requests for actions requiring EVP approval (e.g., severance, relocation, sign-on bonuses) and preparing EVP-ready summaries.
Oversee each phase of a project's life cycle, including initial concept, design, and production, and ensure that projects move smoothly from one point to the next within deadline schedules and allocated budgets.
Project Manager (PM) is responsible for the implementation of Communication System Projects and will act and be recognized as the leader / focal point for all aspects of assigned project(s). Responsible for delivering the contractual scope, on schedule and within budget, while maintaining customer satisfaction.
Work with cross functional teams to develop and track classic project management deliverables (schedules, status reports, resource plans, risks, issues logs, etc.); analyze and communicate the issues and risks as they relate to their project(s).
Demonstrates a firm understanding of all nine areas of the PMBOK and has expertise in at least two areas. Experienced in running project phases and is able to oversee development of the complete project plan. Is able to establish, track and audit project budgets, analyze variances and develop action plans as required.
A successful candidate will operate in a matrix environment, managing projects that include resources from cross-functional teams and guiding them through processes that most effectively deliver IT solutions.
In this role, you will work with the Program Managers and the Technology Delivery Manager to facilitate all project management aspects, take initiative with managing projects, running project status meetings, create and maintain comprehensive project documentation ,creating required reports, escalating issues, developing and managing project plans, identifying risks and mitigation strategies, any other tasks related to project management.
Guide strategy, planning, and implementation of agency transformation to deliver against Key Performance Indicators in the areas of creative excellence, measurement against business outcomes, share shift efforts, and overall agency value.
Must have years work experience managing full lifecycle technology based projects using a formal project management methodology (PMP Certification a plus) and current software project reporting tools (MS Project+).
