Responsible for coordinating, project managing and planning across a number of functions. Manages strategic, operational and administrative support for the business in the region to include business strategy; financial management; improvement activity; program governance, measurement systems & reporting; risk and compliance support, people support and development; project resourcing, and internal program consulting services.
Collaborates with Business Sponsors to define business opportunities, project scope, benefits, and objectives based on business unit needs combined with a thorough understanding of enterprise business systems and industry requirements.
Ensure coordination and completeness of budget estimates and requirements for new and existing initiatives across Directorates; assesses funding impacts on existing program budgets and schedules and recommends resource solutions to executive management within Directorate and government budget constraints
Provide technical project management support to senior-level DoD clients and contractors. Provide support to diverse efforts, from detailed research and analysis of technical approaches on key programs to logistics and protocol support during key meetings and international travel.
Lead the effort to document, track, and adjudicate construction deviations, vendor information requests, and engineering reports provided by a shipbuilder during the construction of a replacement program.
The individual selected for this position will establish plans to develop and release funding opportunity announcements that address scientific objectives established by expert program advisory committees and are consistent with available funding; assist in coordinating, monitoring and facilitating the receipt and review of proposals
