Lead the test method development, validation and routine/in-process testing on Extractables and Leachables using gas chromatography mass spectrometry (GC-MS), high performance liquid chromatography mass spectrometer (HPLC-MS) and inductively coupled mass spectrometer (ICP-MS).
We are seeking a detail oriented, highly organized individual to be responsible for developing and implementing explosive research programs to support product development efforts and provide technical support in the area of chemical synthesis and processing of energetic materials.
Product development activities include: Formulation development, modification and testing of new coating systems, manufacturing support of new product scale-up, technical support for application/fabrication trials at customer sites, communication of results and conclusions, written and/or verbal, to Technical, Business and Operations groups as necessary.
Ability to read, analyze, and interpret common scientific and technical journals, and technical procedures, as well as internal documentation such as production order and safety rules. Ability to write reports and to effectively present information to other employees of the organization.
Provide expertise in formulation, testing, scale up and commercialization of new ink technologies; work as a leader for new product development projects and act as a primary liaison with manufacturing, sales and technical services for these projects.
Support drug discovery and early development efforts as a member of the Drug Metabolism and Pharmacokinetics group working closely with oligonucleotide discovery team members, and occasionally external contract research organizations.
The R&D department is expanding with the addition of a Sr. Rubber Materials Chemist in areas related to molded or extruded parts, coatings, adhesives or sealants (ie Epoxy, SBR, NBR, Polybutadiene, etc.).
Develop and test new ideas directed at improving coatings properties to add value through improved performance, ability to meet regulatory requirements and OEM approvals, reduced cost or improved efficiency in manufacturing or application.
