The candidate shall serve as the in-house expert on army enterprise systems integration program (aesip), aesip non-standard line item numbers (nslins)/non-standard material requests; process all requirements for nslins and management control numbers.
Perform strategic sourcing of supplies and services for assigned commodities/services. May lead cross-functional commodity teams of departmental representatives across the enterprise to enable the development of strategic supplier alliances with key enterprise suppliers to reduce costs, enhance product and service quality, and improve customer responsiveness.
The Inventory Control Specialist is responsible for maintaining accurate inventory; reviewing and applying inventory activities, including movements and deletions, maintain and update inventory records, implementing efficient inventory management procedures such as conducting cycle counts, reconciling inventory discrepancies, implementing loss prevention measures and report any stock issues to management.
A Senior Procurement Specialist performs project and/or indirect procurement of goods and services of basic to highest complexity, as directed by project management, in support of client projects, unit or corporate group needs by sourcing and qualifying suppliers, detailed bid evaluations and award recommendation, negotiation of pricing and terms and conditions for subcontracts, blanket purchase agreements or purchase orders.
Initiates action as required to resolve any supplier problems which might adversely affect project requirements and schedules. Serves as liaison to the division manager in coordinating all procurement activities for the project.
Procuring purchased material from suppliers by negotiating price, quantity and delivery of material. This includes expediting or deferring material with suppliers to meet unforeseen changes in demand. Goal is to maintain on time delivery to the customer.
Ensure that for each SKU the QC (inspection, sampling and testing) requirements as defined by PMI are available, and ensure with the PSM Source, Fulfillment and Deliver/Return Teams that QA/QC requirements are adequately integrated in their processes throughout the entire supply chain.
