Successful candidates will have solid experience in BIOS/UEFI development on IA-32 or IA-64 architecture, external interfaces, product constraints, along with ability to develop architectures/features that meet these constraints while providing new value for the platform. Qualified candidates will have knowledge of source code development, review and maintenance (C/C++), and unit and system level test and verification.
The candidate will investigate portal issues and determine best solutions; troubleshoot, debug and solve technology integration and performance problems; and collaborate with Architects to ensure that the products and components work together, meet defined standards, and meet the objectives and performance goals as defined in the requirements.
The position will allow for the improved capability of to respond to necessary infrastructure needs that support IRS security requirements as per IRS 1075 and the Security Manual in replacing legacy software services.
There are multiple projects that the candidate will be working on, including but not limited to our public facing website, applications for the various units such as Telecom, GUFPA, FACTS, Gas, Electric, and etc.
Works with the Departments Applications Group supervisor to develop, deliver, and implement web-based applications supporting Streets Department referrals and recycling plan submissions. Additionally, the application developer will develop SQL Server Reporting Service Reports (SSRS) in support of data accessibility and Department performance management.
In this role, the candidate will assist other SQL Developers and Business Intelligence developers to Create SQL Server Data Tools deployment packages (DACPAC), create and deploy SSIS packages to support staging mart and cube databases, improve monitoring capability error logging and error recovery capability of ETL jobs.
